I really miss the print paper and one’s interaction with it - reading it, learning, and then going on with the immediate. The firehose of shit and soap opera like things as interpreted through so much media is really hard on the nervous system. Thank you for your tools, will definitely be utilizing!!
ME TOO! Reading on paper has been a resolution of mine this year and I’m so much happier - also because I work on a screen I appreciate a change of state for other reading.
Yes, this. Thank you-I needed to read this today. Still sorting out where to put the conflicting impulses - the impulse to grieve, to fight, to hide, to work, to love. Maybe they’re all part of the same.
Wow. You really summed up a lot of what I've been feeling the past days as well.
I'm sad, I'm scared, I'm disappointed. I'm also feeling a strong motivation to refocus on the things I can control, as we all do our best to live to fight another day.
Trying to spread that message of hope and optimism - not for the possibility that things will be any less terrible for the next four years, but for the eventual possibility of renewal. I am convinced that the way back for progressives politics starts with listening, with curiosity and with an end to the apocalyptic mentality that - in addition to being bad for all of our mental health - is clearly not so effective politically either.
Thanks for this, I feel better to know others are taking similar thoughts away from the events of this week.
Thanks for sharing this. Super important to maintain one’s sanity. Sort of reminded of Victor Frankl in someways. Need to continue finding meaning despite all the madness around me. 💕❤️🩹

These f*ckers are not getting our tears ♥️
Thanks. All great ideas for not getting caught up in their world.
Who are we when they don’t exist, you know??

Yes. He's getting less of my brain this time around. I did a news audit and cut way, way back. I don't wait to give him any more of my life's energy.
